Teach English, Use Funny T-Shirts

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Funny t shirts helped me teach English with excellent results. I am an English Teacher for Korean students down South. Most of my students study with me for at least six months before they enter a real English academy. You see it’s a private tutor thing. My relationship with them tends to be purely personal and sometimes the line between being a teacher and being a friend is never seen. That’s why, after three months of teaching my students for a six-month contract. The boredom seeps in.

Boredom is the worst thing that could happen in an ESL class. It kills the class and their memory of you being a good teacher slowly fades. So, I had to think of ways on how to kill the boredom in class. We tried cooking, painting and singing in the class. But the boredom is still present after doing those extra-curricular activities and then one day, a good friend suggested that I wear shirts with messages printed on it in class to grab the attention of my Korean students. It really did wonders. Sometimes even, we had an hour analyzing and connecting experiences in our lives because of the shirt’s message.

It was very funny. And then I made it a once-a-week activity in my class to wear unique shirts. My class was never boring again after I found out about funny shirts. They asked me where I bought it and I told them about the site. After that, they were all wearing the shirts and speaking good English at the same time.

Big Office Supply Store Coming To Town

Monday, April 26th, 2010

For the last few years, I have been running an office supplies store and now there is a big office supply chain store coming to town. All of our customers keep telling us that they will still continue to use us, but I am not sure that they will be able to resist those lower prices.

I know for a fact that the big office supply stores can get better prices that they pass along to their customers. I have come up with a few ideas for combating that, and I have introduced some incentives for using our office supplies store. I am hoping that they free delivery that we just implemented will be a big hit. If not, then the big Monday madness sales should help us out.

Searching For Iron Doors And A Gate

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

The only iron gate that I could find in town that I actually liked, did not have a matching set of iron doors already made. I did not want to wait for however long it took to make one, so I just left the store and decided to continue my search online.

I usually do most of my shopping online, but knew that the store in town sold iron doors and gates, and figured that they would have something that I would like since they have a four thousand foot showroom. It was disappointing at first, but now that I have the whole World Wide Web to shop from, I am quite sure that I will find something that I will like, and it will all be matching. Since online prices are usually better, I am thinking that I will find lots of good deals.

Hard Working PA Roofing Companies

Friday, April 16th, 2010

I am sure that we must have some of the hardest working roofing companies in PA, located right here in my county. There have to be at least ten companies that I see on a daily basis and they are always going to do a job. Some of the crews of the roofing companies in PA stop into the diner in the morning when I am having breakfast and I always ask them where they are headed to.

I have heard some of them say that they are traveling two and three hours for their job and some stay right around here. I assume that there are other general contractors in PA that travel those distances too. I would go where the money was and it seems that so would everyone else.

I made a mental note to ask some of the other general contractors in PA that come into the diner, how far away they will actually travel, if the money is right. I would think that staying at a good hotel and working for a week or two is probably something that they would all be willing to do for the right job. I know that I would do it.

Selling Structured Settlements For Undisclosed Amounts

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

I was asking a friend who recently sold his structured settlement for a lump sum. I knew how much the original judgment was and could not get him to tell me about how much he did sell structured settlement payments for. I figured that he must have either taken a big hit, or got more than what any of us could ever imagine having at one time.

He was awarded the structured settlement after he was hit by a city bus. It took him four years and lots of lawyer fees, to get them to settle, but they finally did. He was to receive a certain amount, every two years for the next ten years. He had so many doctor bills and lawyer fees that he thought that if he were to sell structured settlement payments for a sum of money now, he could pay all of that off and still have enough left over to live off of for a while.

I think it will take a while for him to tell me how much it is, if he ever does. I tried to find out from his mother and she said that he will not even tell her how much he settled it all for. She does know that he was able to pay off the lawyers though and that is good to know.

Streaming Free Mobile Video On Your Phone

Monday, April 12th, 2010

I knew that someday you would be able to watch TV on your phone, but I did not expect it to be live so soon. I figured that it would somehow be delayed, like maybe a day or two after it was actually on television. That is not the case though; technology is ahead of its time when it comes to free mobile video.

I sat on the internet and read all about it for about three hours one day and now I cannot stop telling people about it. I made sure to get each and every one of my kid’s new phones that would be capable of streaming free mobile video. They use them all the time, especially in the car. It makes it so that everyone can watch exactly what they want at the very same time and there is no bickering. They wear their headphones and everyone is happy.

If we could have had the ability to watch TV on your phone when we were younger, then I am sure that family trips and vacations would have been much easier on our parents. I know that I could not have listened to four kids in the back seat fighting for over eight hours on what was supposed to be a nice family get away, like my father and mother did.

My Parents Follow Perry Stone

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

The first few times, that I read about what Perry Stone was doing, and where he was I was with my parents. They had heard about him from some people at their church and had really started to follow him. At the time, I was visiting them while on vacation and did not pay too much attention to how much they really liked learning of where he was and what he was doing but now that every phone conversation that I have with them, leads back to him, I understand.

I told my sister all about it and she told me that she understood exactly what I was talking about. She usually calls them every other day and hears all about Perry Stone. She said that she thinks it is nice that they have something like that to look forward to. I suppose that since it is not hurting anyone and it gives them something to do that I can stand to hear about it when I call.

I am sure that there are things that I tell my parents that they could really not care about but they still listen and comment when I do it. I guess it is just a little bit of give and take for both of us.

Decided To Contact The Raleigh Packing Company

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

When I decided to contact the Raleigh packing company that I had seen in the newspaper ad, I was actually thinking that they might be quite expensive. I had just tried to pack up everything myself and it is too overwhelming. In fact, I am thinking that since the price was so good that I might have the Raleigh packing company finish up everything else and then I can worry more about my job and not moving.

I have to be out of this house, by the end of the month and then the whole thing of getting the new house set up will begin. It would be nice if there was a company that does the opposite of what the local moving companies do. I would love to just stand there and tell someone where something goes and they completely take everything out of the boxes, and put it away.

I think that the farthest that the local moving companies will go for me, would be to bring in everything, they will put the big heavier items where I want them and then the things in boxes will have to be done by me. Maybe that is a company that I can start up someday. The unpacking moving company is what I could call it.
