Excited for the Wedding Reception

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

We were planning my sister’s wedding which was happening a few months from now.  It was quite far however my sister wanted everything to be perfect just like all brides do. She asked me to look for a Phoenix wedding reception band that could play during the wedding reception for she wanted a party atmosphere.

Just my luck for I was able to keep the card of the band that played during the wedding of my officemate.  I purposely asked for their card because I know I might be able to use it for my sister’s wedding.  I contacted them right away to ask for their schedule and inquire if they could accommodate my sister’s wedding in their busy schedule.  Luck was still on my side for they have not signed up for any gig during that time. Since they are also a Phoenix live cover band, they invited me and my sister to their gig that night so we could listen to them play.

My sister loved them so much and got their services right away.  The guys were easy to talk to so we did not have a hard time negotiating for the price. Now, she can’t wait to hear them again, this time as a married woman.

Keeping Up On Contacts World Current Events

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

I have my secretary look up what interesting world current events happened while we were sleeping, every morning. She has them all printed out and in chronological order on my desk by the time that I arrive. I think that it is very important to keep up with those kinds of things when you have business contacts all over the world.

I know that when big things happen here in the states, my overseas contacts, always call or email me about it. It always makes me feel like they care, when they do that. I found that they are more apt to return my phone calls and deal with me when I keep up with what is happening very close to them.

I have tried to share this world current events thing with everyone else in the office, but I think that they all believe that they do not have the time to do it. It probably takes my secretary about ten to fifteen minutes to get them for me and me the same amount of time to read them over and send our pertinent emails or calls.

I wonder if anyone else in this office realizes that I outdo their overseas sales, by about forty percent. You would think that they would want to copy some of the things that I do, and grow their own business but that would take extra time that they apparently do not have.

Streaming Free Mobile Video On Your Phone

Monday, April 12th, 2010

I knew that someday you would be able to watch TV on your phone, but I did not expect it to be live so soon. I figured that it would somehow be delayed, like maybe a day or two after it was actually on television. That is not the case though; technology is ahead of its time when it comes to free mobile video.

I sat on the internet and read all about it for about three hours one day and now I cannot stop telling people about it. I made sure to get each and every one of my kid’s new phones that would be capable of streaming free mobile video. They use them all the time, especially in the car. It makes it so that everyone can watch exactly what they want at the very same time and there is no bickering. They wear their headphones and everyone is happy.

If we could have had the ability to watch TV on your phone when we were younger, then I am sure that family trips and vacations would have been much easier on our parents. I know that I could not have listened to four kids in the back seat fighting for over eight hours on what was supposed to be a nice family get away, like my father and mother did.

The best friend of yours

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Books were considered to be the best friend of man , it was true to great extent in past but as things have progressed and there are whole new faces of technology , man has discovered some other ways to keep himself informed and up to date. Still there are people who think that the place that books occupy is actually irreplaceable. They are right to some extent but when why would someone spend so much time in going through a book just to attain a small amount of information? On the other hand, internet has made it really easy to get yourself close to the information by just a click.

Having said all this, Books still hold a great importance especially when you talk about Urdu literature. There is nothing compared to them, a good book in the darkness of night, can certainly provide you a valuable companionship and you can easily go through the whole night. However, to some people this option is not as open as to others. For instance, a person living in a far-off foreign country may not be able to get his hands on a hard copy of the book but he can certainly go online and check out for his favorite books.

You can always get your hands on best Urdu poetry or the novels, any time you like. Free books are another option to keep yourself in touch and stirring your love for book reading, they are available in many Urdu forums. You can always check the excerpts and if you like them, you can order the book to avail a hard copy.
