My Funny T Shirts Phase
I remember the first time that my mother let me wear funny t shirts to school. I was in the first grade and I had picked out the funny shirts all by myself when we went shopping. I was very proud of those t shirts. The only problem with it, was that most of my friends could not read so they would have to ask me what my shirt said and then after I told them, they would laugh.
I know that a few of the teachers commented on my funny t shirts and I laughed right along with them. I grew out of the funny shirts phase about the time that all of my buddies could read. I am not sure why, maybe because it was not as funny to not have mine own little joke all to myself.
I found a couple of pictures that my mother took of me wearing the funny shirts and I showed my own kid them. He laughed and thought that it was silly of me to stop wearing them once everyone else could read them.
I called and talked to my mother about the pictures and she said that she remembers those funny t shirts just like it was yesterday.
