I Helped a Web Designer Get a Job from a California Web Design Company
I was trying to help a friend of mine who just became one of those web designers that make those awesome websites that we all see. I was told that an old college roommate of mine had opened a California web design company just recently. I made a few phone calls to find out if they were hiring web designers and the secretary told me that I would have to submit my resume and wait for a call.
I explained to her that I was friends with her boss and would like to speak to him. She put me through and I got his voicemail. I congratulated him on the new business venture and then got in to the reason for the phone call. I gave him my friends name and number and asked that if they needed web designers that he give him a shot.
I found out about two days later that my friend had been hired by a California web design company and was moving out there very shortly. I was so happy, and gave him a call to tell him that I was glad that he had gotten a job. He thanked me for all my help and told me that the owner had called him directly because of my recommendation.
